LAist - Page Header Illustration (2022)
I was tasked with illustrating a web page banner for the LAist, an online news platform that predominantly features the city Los Angeles, CA. It's based on my childhood experiences growing up in LA, memories of seeing neighborhood chickens wandering around my block. Many mornings I was greeted with crowing roosters as having chickens or ducks was common around South Central LA. The banner worked for both browser and phone views and uses a limited color palette from LAist, art directed by Dan Carino..
